Cookie policy
A short page, because we set very few cookies.
Last updated 21 August 2026
The short version
We use cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
What we actually set
Authentication cookies. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores a session token in a cookie so that you stay signed in as you move between pages, and so the server knows the request is really from you. These are strictly necessary — without them, signing in would not work at all.
- Purpose: keeping your session active and secure.
- Lifetime: the session token is short-lived and refreshed as you browse; the refresh token lasts until you sign out.
- Set by: this site, via Supabase.
What we do not set
- No analytics cookies — we do not measure page views, sessions, or funnels.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no data sold to ad networks.
- No social media pixels.
- No cross-site tracking of any kind.
If that changes we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Third-party requests
Two things load from outside this site. Neither sets a cookie, but both mean a request leaves your browser:
- Google Fonts — our typefaces load from Google’s servers, which transmits your IP address to Google. We are moving to self-hosted fonts.
- Google sign-in — only if you choose to sign in with Google rather than with an email address and password.
Controlling cookies
Signing out clears your session. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — but blocking ours means you will not be able to sign in or track a request, since those cookies are what identify you.
